Jeweler Precious Jewelry Outlet Allen, TX Job Details Full-time $15 - $40 an hour 2 hours ago Benefits Flexible schedule Qualifications CAD design (engineering design task) Attention to detail 3D printing Fabrication repair techniques Sanding Polishing Production troubleshooting Full Job Description Jeweler / Diamond Setter We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Jeweler / Diamond Setter to join our team. The ideal candidate is an experienced bench jeweler who can take a piece of jewelry from concept and CAD through casting, finishing, stone setting, polishing, and final quality control. This is a hands-on position for someone who takes pride in craftsmanship, precision, efficiency, and producing high-quality finished jewelry. Responsibilities Create, modify, and review CAD designs for custom jewelry and production pieces. Prepare jewelry designs for 3D printing and casting , including checking models for proper construction and manufacturability. Perform and/or oversee casting processes , including wax/resin preparation, sprueing, investment, burnout, and metal casting. Clean, cut, file, and finish castings to prepare them for assembly and setting. Perform soldering and laser welding when needed, including assembling components, repairing jewelry, attaching findings, and making structural adjustments. Perform ring sizing , including sizing up and down, shank replacement, cutting and soldering, and maintaining proper ring shape. Perform stone setting across a variety of styles, including: Prong setting Pave setting Micro-pave setting Channel setting Bezel setting Shared-prong setting Flush setting Accent stone setting Set diamonds and gemstones securely and precisely while maintaining proper alignment, spacing, symmetry, and appearance. Prepare seats and settings for stones and make necessary adjustments to ensure a secure fit. Perform prong repair, retipping, tightening, rebuilding, and setting repairs . Handle jewelry assembly and fabrication , including custom components and one-of-a-kind pieces. File, sand, pre-polish, and perform detailed finishing and polishing of gold, platinum, silver, and other precious metals. Remove scratches, tool marks, casting imperfections, and other surface defects. Maintain clean, crisp edges and high-quality finishes while protecting stones and delicate details. Inspect completed pieces for craftsmanship, stone security, symmetry, finish, and overall quality. Troubleshoot and repair jewelry when issues arise during production or final inspection. Work with various precious metals, including 14K/18K gold, platinum, and sterling silver . Read and interpret CAD files, jewelry designs, measurements, and specifications. Maintain an organized, clean, and safe workbench and properly care for tools and equipment. Meet production deadlines while maintaining a consistently high standard of craftsmanship. Communicate with designers and other team members regarding construction, setting, finishing, and necessary design modifications. Qualifications Proven experience as a bench jeweler, stone setter, or jewelry manufacturer . Strong experience with diamond and gemstone setting . Ability to perform soldering, ring sizing, jewelry repair, fabrication, finishing, and polishing . Strong understanding of jewelry construction and manufacturing. Experience working with CAD and jewelry design software is highly preferred. Experience with casting and post-casting cleanup is strongly preferred. Ability to work with small, delicate components and maintain exceptional attention to detail. Ability to identify and correct craftsmanship or manufacturing issues. Strong knowledge of precious metals, gemstones, diamonds, settings, and jewelry construction. Ability to work independently while also collaborating with a production/design team. Excellent hand skills, patience, precision, and an eye for detail. Ability to prioritize multiple jobs and meet deadlines without sacrificing quality. The right candidate should be comfortable working from a CAD file or design concept and taking a piece through the various stages of production to create a beautiful, durable, professionally finished piece of jewelry. If you are an experienced jeweler who takes pride in your work, has strong stone-setting skills, and can confidently handle multiple aspects of jewelry manufacturing from CAD to finished product, we would love to hear from you.
Pay:
$15.00 - $40.00 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 - 50.0 per week
