Job Description

A Bench Jeweler is responsible for crafting, repairing, restoring, resizing, and finishing fine jewelry while maintaining exceptional quality and attention to detail. This role requires expertise in jewelry fabrication, stone setting, soldering, polishing, and quality control to ensure customer satisfaction and uphold company standards. Responsibilities Repair, resize, and restore gold, silver, platinum, and other fine jewelry. Perform soldering, laser welding, polishing, buffing, and finishing work. Set diamonds, gemstones, and other precious stones securely. Inspect jewelry for quality, craftsmanship, and structural integrity before completion. Assemble custom jewelry pieces according to design specifications. Replace clasps, prongs, shanks, and other jewelry components as needed. Clean and refurbish jewelry to restore its appearance. Maintain jewelry repair records and complete work orders accurately. Use jeweler's tools and equipment safely, including microscopes, torches, polishing machines, and laser welders. Communicate repair timelines or complex repair needs with supervisors or customer service teams. Keep a clean, organized, and safe workbench. Qualifications Previous experience as a Bench Jeweler, Jewelry Repair Technician, Goldsmith, or similar role preferred. Strong knowledge of jewelry repair techniques and precious metals. Experience with stone setting, soldering, polishing, and jewelry fabrication. Ability to use specialized jewelry tools and equipment. Excellent hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship. Ability to manage multiple repairs while meeting deadlines. High school diploma or equivalent; formal jewelry training or certification is a plus.
