Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Designs, fabricates, installs, maintains, repairs and modifies locking systems, security hardware, and access control devices for buildings, equipment, vehicles, and other secured areas. Performs mechanical and electronic locksmith work including rekeying, master keying, lock repair, and installation of locks, door hardware, safes, and security devices. Operates key-cutting machines, lock-picking tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment. Analyzes plans, drawings, specifications, security requirements, and work orders to determine work requirements and sequencing. Estimates materials and labor and recommends supplies and materials to be ordered.

Work involves moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.

Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 25 pounds or standing and/or walking for more than four (4) hours per day.
