AM Pay Rate:
$30.00•33.00 per hour, depending on experience Job Overview Employnet is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join our team in Oakdale, CA. The CNC Machinist will create machine parts and tools using precision computer-controlled equipment. This position is responsible for setting up, adjusting, operating, and maintaining CNC Mills, Lathes, and Screw Machines. The CNC Machinist will ensure all setups and manufacturing processes are completed according to customer specifications, company standards, and quality procedures. Responsibilities Operate Swiss Screw Machines Set up, adjust, operate, and maintain CNC equipment. Operate machines according to company standards and procedures. Maximize machine uptime and part yield. Minimize material and time waste. Perform required startup and shutdown checks. Report and/or correct discrepancies. Maintain accurate machine logs. Perform and record required in-process inspections. Report and correct quality discrepancies. Monitor deviations from standard cycle or setup times. Obtain and return materials and tooling from the tool crib. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Maintain accurate data entry in the MRP/ERP system. Perform other duties as assigned and trained. Required Skills Ability to measure parts using micrometers, calipers, optical comparators, gauges, and other precision measuring equipment. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Ability to understand shop floor traveler sequences. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to use an eye loupe and/or microscope at 5x magnification. Strong manual dexterity and ability to handle small parts. Ability to recognize when assistance or guidance is needed. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required. Vocational school or apprenticeship preferred. Experience using and/or programming manual, semi-automated, or automated machines, including lathes and grinders. Experience using precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and manuals. Strong mathematical and analytical skills. Good verbal and written communication skills. Physical Requirements Safely access and navigate production and operations areas. Lift up to 25 pounds as needed. Safely operate standard power tools.
