In this role, you will operate and set up various machining equipment to produce precision metal components according to detailed blueprints and specifications. Your expertise in CNC programming, manual machining, and measurement will ensure the highest quality standards are met. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced machinery and contribute to innovative manufacturing processes in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities Operate, set up, and maintain CNC machines such as lathes, mills, grinders, and other machining tools to produce complex parts with precision. Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD models. Program CNC machines utilizing G-code, M-code, and CAM programming to ensure accurate machining operations. Conduct precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and other measurement instruments for quality control. Perform manual machining tasks including turning, milling, grinding, and drilling to meet tight tolerances. Set up machine tooling and fixtures efficiently while adhering to safety protocols and lean manufacturing principles. Inspect finished parts for conformance with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards and document inspection results. Maintain a clean and organized work area while ensuring all safety procedures are followed during machine operation. Requirements Proven experience operating CNC machinery such as CNC lathe, CNC milling machine, or CNC grinder with proficiency in Fanuc or similar control systems. Strong knowledge of machining tools, tooling setup, and manual machining techniques. Ability to read blueprints accurately and interpret mechanical blueprints for manufacturing processes. Skilled in CNC programming including G-code/M-code writing and CAM software like Mastercam or similar. Familiarity with measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, dial indicators, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM). Mechanical knowledge of metal machining processes. Basic math skills for calculations related to measurements and tolerances. Experience with welding, assembly, or power tools is advantageous but not mandatory. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
