Precision Lathe Setup & CMM Operator Hoerbiger USA Delray Beach, FL Job Details $21 - $32 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Computer operation Machine setup Equipment setup (production tasks) Computer literacy Machining tool setup English Computer skills Full Job Description Join Us to Build Precision Parts If you thrive on getting parts right the first time, love dialing in offsets on turning centers, and are comfortable validating results on a CMM, this role is for you.
Your Impact Own the setup:
read programs, spot errors, set up turning machine centers, and perform offsets.
Fixture with confidence:
select appropriate workholding and secure workpieces in the CNC.
Tooling excellence:
load, secure, and preset tools; monitor tool wear/breakage and leverage tool-life systems.
Run and refine:
operate machines, observe cutting, and adjust to maintain process control.
Inspect to spec:
compare completed parts to blueprints using metric measurements per the predetermined inspection cycle.
Hold the line on quality:
immediately alert the lead about any non-compliant parts before proceeding.
Document rigorously:
complete quality and production control records accurately.
Keep it moving:
repeat operations to fulfill job orders; install new tooling and adjust tool/program offsets as needed.
Communicate issues:
notify the lead of unusual machine, tooling, or part conditions.
Maintain safely:
perform basic machine maintenance and follow all safety procedures. Verify on
CMM:
set up and run existing CMM programs to confirm critical features.
Finish right:
deburr thoroughly and apply best practices to edge finishing.
Step in when needed:
perform general Machine Operator tasks. What You Bring High school diploma or GED; 3-5 years of related CNC setup experience and/or training, or equivalent. Demonstrated ability to set up and operate CNC machining centers (turning focus).
Language:
read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; write short correspondence; present clearly in small groups.
Math:
add, subtract, multiply, divide; work in English and Metric units and convert between them.
Reasoning:
carry out detailed, uncomplicated directions; solve problems with a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer:
