The Machinist is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining manual and/or CNC machining equipment to manufacture precision components according to engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards. This position requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to accurately measure and inspect finished parts. The Machinist will work closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Maintenance, and Quality teams to ensure parts are produced safely, efficiently, and within required specifications. Essential Responsibilities Set up and operate manual and/or CNC machines to produce precision components. Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, work instructions, and specifications. Select appropriate tooling, cutting tools, fixtures, and machining parameters. Load and secure raw materials and properly position workpieces. Perform machine setups, tool changes, offsets, and adjustments as required. Operate equipment safely while maintaining production and quality requirements. Use precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other inspection equipment. Inspect completed parts to verify dimensions, tolerances, and overall quality. Identify machining problems and make appropriate adjustments to equipment or processes. Troubleshoot basic machine, tooling, and production issues. Perform routine machine maintenance and keep equipment clean and properly maintained. Maintain accurate production, inspection, and maintenance records. Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Communicate production issues, equipment concerns, and quality problems to management. Work with Engineering and Quality personnel to resolve dimensional or manufacturing issues. Assist with process improvements designed to improve safety, quality, efficiency, and productivity. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous machining or manufacturing experience preferred. Ability to read and understand technical drawings and measurements. Strong understanding of machining principles, tooling, and materials. Ability to use precision measuring tools accurately. Basic mathematical skills, including fractions, decimals, and geometry. Strong mechanical and troubleshooting abilities. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Preferred Qualifications CNC machining experience. Experience with CNC mills, lathes Formal machining, technical school, or apprenticeship training. Experience working with tight tolerances and precision components. Experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to frequently bend, reach, push, pull, and handle materials. Ability to lift and move materials and components as required.

Pay:

$22.00 - $27.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 50.0 per week
