- Set up and operate manual engine lathes and Bridgeport-style milling machines
- Machine, repair, modify, and restore industrial equipment components
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Perform drilling, milling, boring, threading, keyway cutting, and other machining operations
- Use precision measuring tools including micrometers, dial bore gauges, calipers, and indicators
- Machine a variety of materials including carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and other metals
- Select and install tooling, fixtures, and materials required for each project
- Operate shop equipment such as drill presses, band saws, hydraulic presses, and other machine shop tools
- Safely move materials and components using forklifts and material handling equipment
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while following all safety procedures
- Assist with additional shop duties and projects as needed
