Machining Center Operator

Job Description

Job Summary The Machining Center Operator sets up programs and operates CNC and manual machining equipment to produce high‑quality components for EZ Liner equipment. This role interprets technical drawings, performs precision machining, and supports fabrication processes across multiple machines and tools. Responsibilities Interpret blueprints, sketches, and specifications to determine machining requirements Select, align, and secure fixtures, tools, and materials for CNC and manual machines Set machining controls, adjust parameters, and monitor operations to ensure accuracy Inspect finished parts to verify conformance to specifications and tolerances Perform trial runs to validate machine settings and programmed data Install machined parts into assemblies and test for proper function Program and nest parts for the plasma table and optimize material utilization Problem-solving and troubleshooting for machining, tooling, and processing issues Operate additional equipment such as saws, lathes, mills, and ironworkers Maintain machining center equipment and support urgent fabrication needs Core Competencies Good communication and team interaction skills Mechanically-minded with strong problem-solving ability Enjoy electrical and mechanical troubleshooting Capable of multi-tasking in a production environment Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality parts Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on efficiency and waste reduction Demonstrates pride in workmanship and a commitment to producing parts right the first time. Qualification & Education Requirements High school diploma or GED required Experience with nesting software and material optimization preferred Minimum 1-3 years experience operating CNC machining equipment Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills Ability to safely lift 50 pounds and stand for extended periods An Equal Opportunity Employer Pre-Employment Drug Testing Required.
