Full Job Description Description:
We are seeking an experienced CNC Set-Up Machinist with strong knowledge of Citizen Swiss-style CNC lathes . This hands-on role is responsible for machine set-ups, tooling, troubleshooting, process improvements, and supporting production to ensure quality parts are manufactured efficiently and on schedule. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Perform complete set-ups on Citizen Swiss CNC machines. Install and align tooling, guide bushings, and bar feeders. Load and verify CNC programs and make necessary offsets and adjustments. Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, process sheets, and work instructions. Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and quality issues to minimize downtime. Monitor production runs and optimize cycle times and tool life. Perform in-process inspections using micrometers, calipers, indicators, optical comparators, and other precision measuring equipment. Work closely with programmers, quality personnel, and production supervisors. Maintain accurate production and quality documentation. Train and assist machine operators as needed. Follow all safety, quality, and housekeeping requirements.
Requirements:
Qualifications 10 years of experience setting up Swiss-style CNC lathes. Medical, aerospace, defense, or high-precision manufacturing experience Direct experience with Citizen Swiss machines required. Strong understanding of machining principles, tooling, speeds, feeds, and cutting parameters. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. Proficient with precision measuring instruments. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
