Aligns propulsion systems and lay out passage holes on bulkheads and decks for shafts and piping. Inspects and tests equipment during dock and sea trials. Uses machine tools like lathes and boring mills or fabricate replacement parts.

Requirements and Skills:

Read and intrepret technical drawings and construction specs. Use micrometers, calipers, and gauges. Must have shipyard experience, heavy industrial work, or a related machinist role.
