Position Detail Specification Pay Range $30.00 - $35.00 / hour (Non-exempt, hourly) Schedule 1st
Shift:
Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM Primary Machines STAR and Citizen brand Swiss-type lathes Controllers FANUC Requirement Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (Due to ITAR/Government regulations) Benefits Package Excellent Blue Cross Blue Shield medical and dental coverage. 401(k) retirement plan with generous employer matching. Core Responsibilities Setup & Operation:
Perform full setups and operate multiple STAR and Citizen Swiss CNC lathes, including loading raw stock, setting collets, guide bushings, and cutting tools from setup instructions.
Programming & Editing:
Make basic edits to
FANUC CNC
programs, perform live offsets, and execute tool changes while jobs are running.
Quality Assurance:
Read complex blueprints, inspect machined parts using standard inspection equipment, and accurately complete production and quality logs.
Maintenance & Safety:
Adhere strictly to ISO quality, ITAR, and safety procedures while performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting malfunctions, and keeping your workstation clean and orderly.
Teamwork & Versatility:
Work cooperatively to meet production goals, assist in training less experienced operators, and run secondary equipment (manual/CNC lathes, mills, and surface grinders) as needed.
Qualifications & Requirements Experience:
4+ years of prior experience operating, setting up, and editing programs for Swiss CNC lathes.
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent required (completion of an accredited trade school program preferred).
Technical Skills:
Strong blueprint reading, math aptitude, organization, time management, and basic computer literacy (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook).
Physical Demands:
Ability to stand for long periods, push/pull/lift up to 50 lbs, and demonstrate the manual dexterity needed to grasp small parts.
