Jobs › Palmer, MA › Machinist/EDM Operator Level II Rathbone Precision Metals Machinist/EDM Operator Level II Palmer, MA Apply Machinist / EDM Operator Level II We are seeking a motivated and reliable Machinist / EDM Operator for a First Shift position. This role is responsible for the setup and operation of a variety of machine tools and the execution of machining work according to specifications detailed in Company documents. Responsibilities Efficient and accurate setup and operation of machines to ensure components are processed as outlined in engineering drawings. Interpretation of drawings and sketches to determine appropriate working procedures. Inspection of work using a variety of precision measurement tools to ensure adherence to specifications. Selection and grinding of tools in accordance with the hardness, machinability, and other properties of the materials to be machined. Performance of regular preventive equipment maintenance and the maintenance of a clean, organized work area. Adherence to supervisor instructions, department procedures, and Company policies. Requirements A minimum of 2 years of experience as Machinist required. A minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. Proficiency in reading technical drawings and utilizing measurement instruments. Ability to work for prolonged periods on feet, including frequent lifting, twisting, standing, stooping, and bending. Requirements include pre-employment physical, drug and alcohol screening, and background check.

Pay Range:

\$26.00 - \$34.00 per hour (commensurate with experience)
