With more than 40 years of experience, we specialize in designing and manufacturing components, tooling, and systems for industrial masking applications. Our work can be found in companies across the automotive, lighting, and other industries. We design and fabricate custom nesting and fixturing, as well as coating and curing systems, fluid transfer systems, high-pressure water deflashers, ovens, mask washers, turntables, and robotic slide systems. Met-L-Tec also provides conventional and CNC milling and turning services, producing unique parts and prototypes along with short- and medium-run production. About the Position Met-L-Tec is looking for an experienced CNC Machinist to join our team in Temperance, Michigan. This is a great opportunity for a skilled machinist who enjoys variety, precision work, and taking ownership of their work. Our machining department operates as a job shop rather than a high-volume production environment. You'll work on a variety of unique parts, prototypes, and short- to medium-run jobs rather than performing the same repetitive operation every day. Responsibilities Set up and program Haas CNC mills and lathes Program CNC machines using Mastercam Operate CNC mills and lathes to produce quality parts to print Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications Select appropriate tooling, workholding, speeds, and feeds Make machine offsets and adjustments as needed Inspect finished parts using precision measuring equipment Troubleshoot machining and setup issues Work independently while meeting quality and scheduling requirements Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area Qualifications 2+ years of machining experience Experience setting up and operating CNC mills and lathes Experience with Haas CNC equipment Experience programming with Mastercam Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings Strong understanding of CNC machining processes, tooling, and inspection Ability to troubleshoot machining and setup issues Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work Why Join Met-L-Tec?
