Job Description

Overview Join our manufacturing team as a CNC Machinist on the Night Shift and become a vital part of producing precision-engineered components. In this role, you will operate, set up, and program CNC Lathes —using advanced techniques such as CNC G-code programming, CAD/CAM software. Your expertise will ensure high-quality production through precise measurements and meticulous machine setup. Responsibilities Operate CNC Lathes for production. Set up machines. Program CNC equipment using G-code, M-code, CAD, CAM to optimize machining operations. Conduct machine calibration and alignment using measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and precision measuring instruments to guarantee quality standards. Perform manual machining tasks when necessary to support CNC operations or troubleshoot machine issues. Inspect finished parts for quality using measurement tools and ensure adherence to specifications through CNC quality inspection techniques. Maintain detailed records of machine setups, measurements, and production logs; troubleshoot mechanical issues promptly to minimize downtime. Assist in machine maintenance and tool changes; utilize hand tools and power tools safely during setup and repair procedures. Experience Proven experience operating CNC machinery such as CNC lathes or milling machines in a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of CNC programming languages including G-code and M-code; familiarity with CAD (Computer-Aided Design) and CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software is preferred. Ability to interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, GD&T tolerances, and technical specifications accurately. Skilled in using precision measurement instruments like micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and other measurement tools for quality control purposes. Mechanical aptitude with understanding of machining tools, grinders, hand tools, power tools, and basic math skills for measurements and calculations. Experience with electrical discharge machining (EDM), solidWorks design software or similar CAD programs is a plus but not required. Knowledge of safety procedures related to machine operation and manufacturing environments; ability to follow all safety protocols diligently. $20.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
