What you will be doing:

RoMan's Advanced Machinist will support the machining team through setup, program verification, operator training, and continuous process improvement. This role requires strong technical expertise in CNC Machining Centers, blueprint interpretation, and precision measurement.

Experience or Training Required or Preferred:

Minimum 5 years experience setting up CNC Knowledge of G and M codes and CNC programming logic. Experience in machining tool steel, mild steel, non-ferrous materials, weldments and fixtures. Basic math skills including geometry and algebra.

Essential Job Functions:

Support operators with setup, proving programs, offsets, inspections and deburring. Interpret drawings, manuals, and specifications. Assist in determining machine capability and repeatability. Measure and mark workpieces for machining. Detect and correct machining or equipment issues. Document machine malfunctions. Communicate with management, production control and quality. Maintain clean, organized work areas and preform basic preventative maintenance. Adhere to quality, safety and environmental policies. Work with CNC programming to seek to understand logic and suggest process improvements. Knowledge of tooling, cutting tools, boring bars, inserts and accessories. Ability to read G-code and suggest process improvements. Perform other duties as assigned.
