About Power Curbers Power Curbers designs and builds heavy paving equipment used on job sites across the country and around the world. Our manufacturing team fabricates, welds, machines, and assembles every machine that leaves our plant, and we take pride in the precision and durability our customers depend on. We're looking for an experienced Machinist to join our shop and help keep production moving. Position Summary The Machinist will set up and operate both CNC and manual machine tools to produce precision parts used in the manufacture of Power Curber paving equipment. This role works closely with our fabrication, weld, and assembly teams, as well as manufacturing and production scheduling, to keep jobs on track and meet quality standards. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC and manual mills, lathes, and related machine tools to produce parts to print specifications. Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders to determine dimensions, tolerances, and machining sequence. Select appropriate tooling, speeds, feeds, and work-holding methods for each job. Write, change, and prove out all CNC programs; troubleshoot and adjust programs to correct issues during production runs. Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.) to verify conformance to specifications. Report equipment issues promptly. Coordinate with fabrication, weld, and assembly supervisors to keep parts flowing on schedule. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with shop safety standards. Accurately document completed work, scrap, and downtime as required. Qualifications 2-5 years of hands-on experience operating CNC and manual machine tools in a manufacturing or job shop environment. Strong ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings, including GD&T basics. Proficiency with precision measuring instruments and quality inspection methods. Working knowledge of CNC setup and program editing (Fanuc or similar controls preferred). Solid understanding of speeds, feeds, tooling selection, and materials (steel, aluminum, and similar). Strong math and problem-solving skills; attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced production setting. High school diploma or equivalent required; machining certification or technical training a plus. Physical Requirements Ability to stand all day and lift up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds. Ability to work safely around industrial machinery in a manufacturing shop environment. Pay:
$22.00 - $28.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
