Job Description

Pay:
$30.00 - $35.00 per hour Job description: Hicks Machine is now part of Excelus Holdings, an AS9100 and
ISO 9001
certified, ITAR registered precision manufacturing platform supporting Aerospace, Defense, Semiconductor, Medical, and Industrial customers. Under new ownership, Excelus Holdings is investing heavily in long-term growth, advanced equipment, expanded capabilities, and the skilled people needed to support complex customer programs. This includes continued investment in CNC technology, automation, 5-axis milling, live-tooling lathes, mill-turn capabilities, and production systems built for high-reliability manufacturing. Our work supports critical DoD programs, aerospace and defense platforms, semiconductor equipment, medical device components, and complex industrial applications. We are growing quickly and looking for experienced CNC Lathe and CNC Mill Machinists who want to be part of that next chapter. We are interested in candidates with strong experience in either turning or milling, as well as machinists with experience across both.
Responsibilities include:
Set up and operate CNC lathes and/or CNC mills to produce precision components Perform complete machine setups, including tooling, workholding, offsets, and program adjustments Work with live tooling, bar feeders, multi-axis equipment, and advanced machining technology when applicable Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications Apply GD&T and tight tolerance requirements Select appropriate tooling and make adjustments to speeds, feeds, offsets, and machining parameters Troubleshoot machining, tooling, setup, and quality issues Inspect finished parts using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other precision measuring equipment Work closely with engineering, quality, and management to improve processes and support production requirements Maintain machines, tooling, and work areas to support safe and efficient production Ideal candidates will have: Senior-level or Class A CNC machining experience Strong CNC lathe and/or CNC mill setup and operating experience Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Experience with Fanuc controls preferred Strong understanding of tooling, workholding, offsets, speeds, feeds, and machining best practices Ability to work independently from complex prints and specifications Experience holding tight tolerances and working with GD&T Experience in aerospace, defense, semiconductor, medical, or other precision manufacturing environments preferred Experience with live tooling, 5-axis machining, mill-turn equipment, or other advanced CNC equipment is a plus A strong focus on quality, accuracy, reliability, and productivity This is an immediate opportunity for experienced machinists who want to join a company that is growing, investing, and building for the long term.
