Job Description

Sr. CNC Machinist Hosokawa Micron Powder Systems 62125.00 To 83853.00 (USD) Annually United States, Jersey, Summit 10 Chatham Road (Show on map) Aug 31, 2026 Hosokawa provides size reduction systems and powder processing solutions for chemical, pharmaceutical, food, mineral, plastics, and cosmetic applications. Throughout our history, we have led the industry in coarse to ultra-fine grinding, classification, mixing, drying, containment, compaction, and analytical equipment. The Sr. CNC Machinist (Lathe) is responsible for all turned machining, both manual and CNC lathe operation. This includes CNC programming for machined parts, tool selection, setup and operation. This position is responsible for the supervision of operators and the running of two CNC lathes with live tooling and manual lathes. Essential Duties Write and modify G-Code programs to make parts optimally

Tool selection including optimum cutting tools, speeds and feed rates

Setup including multi-axis and tight tolerance (to 0.0001")

Read and understand engineering drawings

Ability to use inspection tools including calipers and micrometers

Inspect or provide parts to the QC Inspector for inspection

Train and support CNC Operators with large quantity runs

Conduct preventative maintenance on machines

Maintain a clean and safe work environment Basic Qualifications High School Diploma

5+ years using CNC including programming, tool selection, setup and operation

3+ years programming in G-Code

3+ years in tooling/cutter selection

1+ year supervising operators

Ability to self-inspect parts and use inspection tools accurately (calipers and micrometers)

Strong mathematical acumen - addition, subtraction, division, multiplication and geometry Preferred Qualifications 10+ years programming and optimizing programs for tuned parts

5+ years with live tooling

3+ years with HAAS lathes Physical Requirements Ability to visually inspect components and accurately read and use inspection tools, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation as required to perform the essential functions of the job.

Ability to stand, twist, turn, and /or bend for extended periods, up to 8 hours per workday, as required to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Salary/Rate Range:

• $56,473 -$95,976 Salaries/Rates will vary and may be above or below this rate commensurate with several factors including experience, education, training, location, and merit.
