Job Description

ArcelorMittal Tubular Products (AMTP) in Shelby, Ohio produces welded and seamless tubes that serve a variety of markets. We are seeking a skilled Industrial Machinist to be responsible for setting up, operating, maintaining, and repairing a variety of CNC and manual machine tools used to manufacture and restore metal parts, tooling, and equipment. This position plays a critical role in supporting plant reliability and production performance. The position requires the flexibility to work any shift, overtime as needed, plus a 7-day work week when production demands. Why Join AMTP? Receive work assignments from Supervisor and perform work with minimal amount of supervision. Receive work assignments from Supervisor and perform work with minimal amount of supervision. Determine working procedures by studying and interpreting prints and specifications, or other instructions as necessary. Perform work utilizing knowledge of shop mathematics, machinist's charts and tables, and working properties of metals. Set proper speeds and feeds on machines. Select and utilize all machinist hands tools. Operate machine to shape metal into desired part to precise dimensions with close tolerances prescribed. Exercise proper care of machinery and equipment. Report unusual conditions to supervisor Industrial Machinist's Must have: High school diploma or equivalent (required). 5 years of experience in heavy industrial maintenance machining or related skills or completion of journeyman certification in machining mechanical maintenance field. Ability to read and comprehend blueprints, drawings, sketches, and plans. Experience using various hand tools, wrenches, power hand tools, torches and required equipment to complete task. Basic PC skills.
