Ascentec Engineering is hiring! We are looking for machinists to join our team in Dallas, Oregon . We embrace the GWC philosophy (Gets It, Wants It, Capacity to Do It). We are looking for people who understand their roles deeply (Gets It), are passionate about their work (Wants It), and possess the skills and resources to excel (Capacity to Do It)! We are looking for level 1 machinists. Qualified candidates must possess skills necessary to successfully function in a quick-turn, high-speed machine shop. This position presents a great opportunity for someone with strong mechanical aptitude/skills and attention to detail with many avenues for career growth.
Shifts Available:
Swing Shift:
Monday through Thursday, 4 p.m. to 2:30 a.m.
Weekend Day Shift:
Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 6 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. All shifts are full-time and eligible for an industry-leading shift differential. This position is on site at our Dallas, Oregon facility and not eligible for Visa sponsorship or transfer of Visa sponsorship.
Requirements:
JOB RESPONSIBILTIES
Included, but not limited to: Load and unload parts for machining up to 40 pounds. Perform basic equipment maintenance. Read and interpret manufacturing prints. Possess efficient math skills and basic understanding of geometric tolerance. Check parts using basic measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and depth gauges. CNC setup and operation; tech tools, load programs and set/adjust work/tool offsets accordingly. Haas, Fanuc, Siemens, and Okuma controls are a plus. Inspect machined parts following 1st Part and in process inspection protocol. CNC 3 axis experience, 4 & 5 axis machining experience is a plus. Able to change fixtures, replace tool changes and manage tool libraries. JOB QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE AND TECHNICAL SKILLS
: Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail. Ability to communicate effectively. Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office. Able to multitask and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Experienced in the set-up and run of 3-axis vertical CNC mills, 4 & 5 axis is a plus. Experienced with multiple metrology tools for measuring and recording part dimensions.

Willing to flex hours as needed (i.e. short notice overtime) Trade school and/or at least one year experience in the manufacturing environment preferred but not required.
COMPENSATION/BENEFITS
