Machinist Greenville, PA
TUBACEX GROUP
is currently looking for a Machinist at our Greenville, Pennsylvania facility. Tubacex Group is one of the leading producers of seamless, stainless steel tubing products in the world. This offers the benefits of a well-respected international corporation with sales offices throughout the world, as well as an integrated source for materials from start to finish. Operating in a 185,000 square foot facility, Salem Tube utilizes weld mills and cold draw benches to produce stainless steel and nickel alloy tubing from 1/8" to 2" od in over twenty-five different alloys that meet the highest quality standards. Job Knowledge:
Operates and maintains lathe and milling machines Reviews drawings, instructions, blueprints or samples to ensure accurate production Takes precise measurements with specialized tools for cutting or shaping Selects appropriate machine and settings for a given task Plans proper sequence of tasks to complete the assignment Monitors production, adjusting feed and other settings as necessary Maintains inventory of completed products Identifies need for and performs machine maintenance and minor repairs Use a variety of precision and cutting tools and equipment, such as a drill press, chop saw, lathe, and push and pull broaches Cut, shape, and fabricate tools and machine parts Ensure all work meets quality standards, instructions, and specifications. Understand and comply with industry regulations Regularly clean, maintain, and repair machinery and equipment as needed Examine and assess completed units to detect defects; ensure conformity with specifications Program machining equipment, such as lathes, mills and grinders Maintain safe operation of equipment by adhering to safety protocols and regulations Complete calculations quickly, such as dimensions and tolerances of materials Duties include, but are not limited to: High school diploma or GED certificate; trade school preferred At least three years of related experience The ability to perform basic math and follow instructions Needs to be able to lift up to 50 pounds when needed Mechanical aptitude to use a variety of industry tools and machinery Strong analytical skills, precision, and attention to detail Familiarity with CNC software and machinery Problem solving skills to develop effective manufacturing plans based on specification Problem solving skills to troubleshoot issues that arise during the manufacturing process Understanding of health and safety regulations Self-motivated Attention to detail
