Job Description
Company Overview Major Pennsylvania manufacturer of critically essential components of naval and aeronautic systems requires experienced lathe and milling machinists for its Philadelphia and Quakertown production facilities. We are committed to excellence, innovation, and fostering a collaborative workplace. Job Summary We are seeking a skilled CNC Mill and Lathe Machinist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will operate and set up CNC Lathes and CNC Mill turns to produce high-quality parts, ensuring precision and efficiency in a fast-paced machine shop environment. Key Responsibilities Set up, operate, and maintain CNC Mill and Lathe Machinist to produce parts according to blueprints and specifications. Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and work orders to determine machining requirements. Perform tool changes, offsets, and adjustments to improve production and ensure parts meet tolerances and quality standards. Conduct routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot minor equipment issues. Inspect finished components using precision measuring tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers). Collaborate with supervisors and quality control to optimize production processes. Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area. Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of experience operating CNC Mill and Lathe in a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, GD&T, and technical drawings. Strong knowledge of CNC programming (e.g., G-code, Fanuc controls) is a plus. Familiarity with a variety of materials, including nickel alloys preferred. High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or apprenticeship in machining preferred. Attention to detail and ability to work independently or in a team. Knowledge of safety standards and OSHA regulations.
