Job Description

About the Role As a Precision CNC Machinist, you will be instrumental in transforming raw materials into high-tolerance components by operating and setting up advanced milling and turning equipment. Your technical expertise in G-code and machine optimization will directly impact our production throughput and overall quality standards. Responsibilities Execute complex machine setups and operate CNC mills and lathes to meet precise engineering specifications. Utilize advanced measuring tools and SPC techniques to ensure every part conforms to rigorous quality standards. Optimize production cycles by monitoring machine performance and performing routine preventative maintenance. Maintain accurate production logs and labor records to support efficient workflow management. Collaborate with the production team to drive continuous improvement and 6S initiatives on the shop floor. Interpret intricate blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate part fabrication. Troubleshoot machining issues in real-time to minimize downtime and maintain consistent output. Qualifications Required Skills High school diploma or GED equivalent. Demonstrated experience operating CNC mills and lathes in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Proficiency in reading blueprints, GD&T, and technical schematics. Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to use calipers, micrometers, and other precision gauges. Solid understanding of shop math, including geometry and trigonometry. Preferred Skills Prior experience with Fanuc, Haas, or Mazak control systems. Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies. Experience performing visual inspections under magnification or using optical comparators. Ability to multitask across multiple machine cells to maximize operational efficiency.
