Flexible between 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM About the Position Opsource is partnering with a growing custom fabrication company in Campobello, SC to hire an experienced CNC Machinist . This company specializes in custom design, construction, installation, and maintenance inventory for industrial machining and honing tools serving the automotive, aerospace, communications, defense, commercial, medical, and HVAC industries. We are looking for a skilled CNC Machinist who can independently set up and operate CNC mills and lathes and produce high-quality parts to precise specifications. Key Responsibilities Set up, prepare, and operate 3- and 4-axis CNC mills and lathes Load raw materials onto machining centers according to established procedures Select, verify, and install tooling based on job specifications Read and interpret blueprints, process plans, program sheets, and fixture diagrams Use precision measuring instruments to set up machines and inspect finished parts Verify finished workpieces meet required specifications and quality standards Analyze finished parts and identify potential quality issues Adapt and improve machining processes, tooling, speeds, and feeds for various materials Machine materials including stainless steel, carbon steel, and aluminum Operate standard machine tools, including drill presses and various hand and power tools Document production information and communicate important details to other shifts Work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining production schedules Support different jobs and machining operations as needed
Qualifications Required:
Minimum 5 years of CNC machining experience Proven ability to set up and operate CNC milling and lathe machines Experience with 3- and 4-axis CNC equipment Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints Experience with AutoCAD, Creo, or 3D modeling software Knowledge of CNC machining materials, including stainless steel, carbon steel, and aluminum Experience with precision measuring instruments Ability to analyze materials and finished components Ability to follow written processes and procedures Ability to lift 50 pounds without assistance Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Strong teamwork, flexibility, and communication skills
Preferred:
Mechatronics degree Machine Tool Technology degree Experience with nonconformity management and corrective processes Experience improving machining processes, tooling, speeds, and feeds Schedule Monday through Friday 1st shift Flexible start time between 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM Employees must work their scheduled number of hours each day Why Apply?
