Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled CNC Setup Machinist to join our strong and tenured team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in operating and setting up CNC mills and/or lathes, particularly Haas and Kia Heavy Machinery. This role involves fabricating high-quality, tight-tolerance components and products while adhering to strict quality standards and lean manufacturing principles. Duties Setup and Operate CNC milling machines and other related equipment to produce precision parts. Set up and adjust machine tools for optimal performance and efficiency. Perform routine maintenance on machinery to ensure operational readiness. Utilize hand tools and measuring instruments to inspect finished products for quality assurance. Collaborate with team members to implement lean manufacturing practices for continuous improvement. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the machining process. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols. As a plus, program CNC machines using Mastercam or Fusion software and tools to ensure accurate fabrication. Qualifications Proven experience as a CNC Setup Machinist or similar role in a manufacturing setting. Strong mechanical knowledge, particularly in operating milling machines and other CNC equipment. Familiarity with programming CNC machines is preferred. Ability to fabricate components according to specifications and blueprints. Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles is preferred. Proficiency in using hand tools and measuring instruments for quality checks. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment. Read, write, and communicate in English. $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
