We're a Job shop, some small production runs,. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated CNC Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate, set up, and maintain CNC machines to produce precision metal components that meet strict quality standards. Your expertise in CNC programming, machine setup, and measurement will be essential in delivering high-quality products efficiently. Duties Operate CNC milling machines and CNC lathes, including Fanuc controls, ensuring accurate production according to technical specifications. Program CNC machines using G-code, M-code, CAM programming software, and Mazatrol controls to optimize machining processes. Interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings accurately to determine machining requirements. Set up machines by installing tooling, fixtures, and calibration devices such as bore gauges, micrometers, calipers, and precision measurement instruments. Conduct quality inspections using measurement tools and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards to verify part accuracy. Perform manual machining tasks with hand tools or grinders when necessary for finishing or troubleshooting. Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to lean manufacturing principles for efficiency and safety. Requirements Proven experience operating CNC milling machines and CNC lathes with a solid understanding of CNC G-code programming and M-code functions. Strong knowledge of CAD (Computer-Aided Design) and SolidWorks for interpreting designs; familiarity with CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software for programming. Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and manufacturing specifications accurately. Mechanical aptitude with understanding of machining tools, tooling setups, and manual machining techniques. Proficiency in using precision measurement instruments such as micrometers, bore gauges, calipers, and other precision measuring devices for quality control. Knowledge of CNC control systems like Fanuc or similar automation controls; experience with CNC quality inspection is preferred. Basic math skills for calculations related to measurements, tolerances, and machine setup adjustments. Mechanical knowledge combined with the ability to interpret mechanical blueprints effectively. Familiarity with lean manufacturing practices to promote efficiency in production workflows. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high safety standards.
