Description We are seeking an experienced Manual Machinist to join our team. This role requires hands-on experience operating a LeBlond manual lathe and machining large components ranging from 48" to 60" in size. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and capable of producing high-quality work while maintaining efficiency. Shift - 1st or 2nd both are available, you can pick
Key Responsibilities:
Set up and operate LeBlond manual lathe to machine large parts (48"-60")
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
Perform measurements and inspections using precision measuring tools
Select appropriate tooling and calculate speeds/feeds
Maintain dimensional accuracy and quality standards
Perform routine machine maintenance and keep work area clean
Follow all safety procedures and company policies

Requirements
Proven experience operating manual lathes (LeBlond preferred)
Experience machining large parts/components
Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
Proficiency with calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications:
Additional manual machining experience (mills, grinders, etc.)
Shop math knowledge and understanding of tolerances
Prior experience in a manufacturing or repair environment
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift, move, or position heavy materials with assistance/equipment
Standing for extended periods
Working in a shop environment
Salary Description
$30.00 per hour
