Job Description

Summary:

CNC Machinist will both program and run machine. Responsible for performing job assignments on manual and/or CNC machines. Must be a DMG Mori Seiki certified programmer . Manual machine operations include set-up & tool selection of conventional lathes, mills, grinders, drill presses and various other standard shop equipment. CNC machine operations include producing products on lathes or mills after set-up with few machine/program adjustments. Responsible for production of quality products.

Responsibilities:

Proficient in understanding geometric dimensions and tolerance. Proficient in the use of precision measuring instruments and the application of such instruments. Instruments should include but not limited to calipers, ID and OD micrometers, depth gauges, indicators and tape measures. Select, align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories and materials on machines such as mills, lathes, jig bores, grinders and shapers. Measure and mark dimensions and reference points on material or work piece as guides for subsequent machining. Observe machine operation to detect malfunctions or out of tolerance machining and adjusts machine controls or control media as required. Will be able to run multiple machines. Proficient tooling knowledge, will select and use metal cutting tooling in all applications. Responsible for deburring own parts before moving parts to the next stage. Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted, or changed at any time at the discretion of management, formally or informally, either verbally or in writing.

Job Requirements Qualifications:

Must have 3 to 6 years machining experience. Must have minimum of 4 years experience with Cincinnati and Fanuc Controls. Must be able to take and follow written and oral instructions. Must be able to hold close tolerances. Must be able to setup all parts to be machined. Must be able to operate a forklift and overhead crane proficiently. Must possess advanced math skills to include but not limited to adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, geometry and algebra for the purpose of calculating material fabrication. Must be a DMG Mori Seiki certified programmer .

Compensation / Pay

Rate (Up to): $29.00 - $30.00
