ESSENTIAL JOB
FUNCTIONSSet up, program, and operate a Haas
VS-3 CNC
vertical machining center.

Create and edit CNC programs according to blueprints and specifications.

Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, dimensions, and machining specifications.

Determine machining sequences, tooling, speeds, feeds, offsets, and workholding requirements.

Select and install cutting tools and complete machine setups for new and repeat jobs.

Load and properly secure raw materials and workpieces.

Run first-piece parts and verify dimensions before continuing production.

Monitor machining operations and make adjustments to maintain quality and accuracy.

Inspect finished parts using tape measures and precision measuring instruments.

Troubleshoot basic programming, tooling, setup, and machining issues.

Identify and replace worn or damaged tooling.

Safely operate a forklift to move materials as needed.

Perform routine machine cleaning and basic preventive maintenance.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of one year of CNC machining experience.

Experience independently programming and setting up CNC machinery preferred.

Previous experience operating Haas CNC equipment strongly preferred.

Ability to program CNC machining operations, not solely load and unload parts.

Ability to set up and operate CNC milling equipment with limited supervision.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and machining drawings.

Working knowledge of machining processes, cutting tools, speeds, feeds, and offsets.

Ability to accurately read a tape measure and use precision measuring instruments.

Ability to identify and correct basic machining or programming issues. #pscleburne
