Job Description

Job description: We are seeking a skilled and motivated CNC Mill Machinist to support precision manufacturing operations and ensure an efficient, organized, and high‑performance milling area. This role is ideal for a machinist who takes ownership of their workspace and contributes to continuous improvement across daily operations. Key Responsibilities Machine Setup & Operation Set up and operate Okuma CNC mills accurately and efficiently. Interpret and follow setup instructions, blueprints, and detailed part drawings to produce precision components. Read, edit, and verify CNC programs using Okuma OSP controls. Programming & Technical Expertise Understand G‑code/M‑code structures and make necessary program edits to ensure part accuracy and optimal performance. Optimize cutting parameters, feeds, and speeds for various materials while maintaining tooling life and part quality. Organize tooling, programs, and associated equipment to improve efficiency and reduce downtime. Training & Leadership Train and guide machine operators on proper workflows, safe operation, and effective production practices. Qualifications Proven experience setting up and operating CNC mills, with Okuma experience highly preferred. Strong familiarity with Okuma OSP controls and CNC program interpretation. Solid understanding of tooling principles, cutting parameters, feeds, and speeds across multiple materials. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and G/M‑code programs. Excellent problem‑solving skills, communication abilities, and attention to detail.
