This is a 2nd shift position. Applicants must be willing to work 2nd shift. Transitions to first shift are based on seniority and skill set and company business needs. We are seeking a CNC Machinist (2nd Shift) to become an integral part of our team! Must possess the ability to read and handle basic measuring equipment, i.e., OD/ID micrometers, calipers, depth gauge etc. Must be able to read prints/drawings. Must possess minimum computer skills.
Responsibilities:
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications. Ability to perform parts inspection, hold drawing tolerances and use measuring tools. Ensure correct material type and size used. Verifies conformance of finished work-piece to specifications, using measuring and inspection tools as necessary. Selects, aligns, and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines as necessary to machine parts as required. Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, and adjusts machine controls or control media as required. Sets up and operates machine on trial run to verify accuracy of machine settings or programmed control data. Performs routine maintenance tasks on machines as required. Documents actions by completing production and quality logs. Maintain a clean and organized work area and maintain equipment, to keep a nice appearance. Ability to solve practical problems. Maintain a clean work environment - general housekeeping.
Requirements:
Must pass a drug test and background check Must have U.S. work authorization Experience 2+ years on CNC Lathe and/or Mill machines Experience with HAAS machines and/or Fanuc controls Prefer to have ability for understand CNC programs Prefer ability to run more than 1 machine at a time Prefer 5+ years of multi-axis experience Ability to establish priorities, work independently and proceed with work objectives with limited supervision. Effective communication skills Must be willing to work 2nd shift after a training period on 1st shift High School Diploma or GED Required
