The work is high-mix, low-volume: complex prints, unproven prototype setups, and tight tolerances on large-format material. Parts run on large-format 5-axis CNC milling centers, and most jobs are new the first time you see them. Machinists here own the process end to end — blueprint interpretation, multi-axis setup, workholding, first article prove-out, and final inspection — and work directly with engineers on part design. 5-axis experience is preferred, not required. Friday Requirements Responsibilities Setups:

Set up and run large-format CNC mills and lathes

Prove-Out:

Take unproven prototype parts from first article through final run.

Print Interpretation:

Apply GD&T to complex blueprints, routings, and engineering models.

Workholding:

Build fixturing strategies around tool clearance and collision avoidance.

Program Edits:

Adjust feeds, speeds, offsets, and tool comp at the control.

Inspection:

Verify tight tolerances with micrometers, indicators, and precision gauges.

Design Feedback:

Recommend part changes that improve manufacturability.

ERP Entry:

Record quantities and process adjustments in the ERP system.
