Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented CNC Machinist to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate, set up, and maintain CNC machines to produce precision metal components that meet strict quality standards. Your expertise in CNC operating, machine setup, and measurement will contribute to efficient production processes and high-quality output. Duties Operate Haas CNC milling machines and CNC lathes, ensuring optimal performance and precision. Set up machines by installing tooling, fixtures, and programming parameters based on blueprints and technical specifications. Interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings to determine machining requirements. Perform precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and other measurement tools for quality control. Conduct quality inspections of machined parts to ensure adherence to specifications; document inspection results for traceability. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols and properly handling machining tools, hand tools, and power tools. Assist in machine setup adjustments and troubleshooting to minimize downtime during production runs. Support lean manufacturing initiatives by optimizing machining processes for efficiency and waste reduction. Perform other duties as assigned. Skills Understanding of Haas CNC machine setup procedures for both lathe and/or milling operations. Mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret mechanical blueprints accurately. Skilled in the use of precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and bore gauges. Ability to perform basic math calculations relevant to machining tolerances and measurements. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot machine issues efficiently. Stay organized, self-motivated, and able to multitask effectively. Excellent attention to detail for high-quality metal machining. Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of an approved vocational program in Machine Technology is a plus. General math skills and the ability to perform basic shop calculations. Ability to read blueprints and understand geometric tolerances. Ability to use machine shop measuring tools and equipment. Ability to lift at least 40 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. U.S. citizenship is required to perform the work associated with this position.
