Job Description

EMT International seeks a CNC Mill or Lathe Machinist to produce precision components for high-speed web processing and finishing equipment. You will set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC machines, interpret blueprints, and use precision measuring tools to maintain tight tolerances. Collaborate with engineering and quality teams, follow strict safety and quality standards, and support continuous improvement. Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC mills or lathes to produce precision components for web processing and finishing equipment Interpret blueprints, schematics, and work orders to determine machining operations and tolerances Select and install tooling, fixtures, and workholding; verify proper machine offsets and parameters Monitor machining operations, inspect parts using precision measuring tools, and adjust programs or tooling as needed Perform basic CNC program edits and troubleshoot machining issues to maintain quality and productivity Follow safety procedures and standard work instructions in a lean, continuous-improvement environment Complete required documentation, quality checks, and production reporting accurately and on time Work collaboratively with engineering, quality, and maintenance to resolve issues and improve processes Required Skills CNC mill operation CNC lathe operation G-code program editing Blueprint reading Use of micrometers, calipers, and gauges Machine setup and fixturing Tolerance and GD&T interpretation Basic CNC troubleshooting Lean manufacturing practices Shop math and measurement
