Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Equipment operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating various machinery and equipment within a manufacturing facility. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. As a Machine Operator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the production process runs smoothly and meets quality standards. Day & Night Shifts Job Description The Operator sets up the machinery, monitors the production process, and makes adjustments when needed to ensure the quality and consistency of the output. They must also inspect, clean, and maintain the equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure safety. This position may require physical stamina to keep up with the demands of the job and a good understanding of mechanical systems is crucial. Run a small excavator and front end loader. Responsible for all shredding operations in a safe and efficient manner. Understand start up, shutdown, and emergency procedures for shredding equipment Check settings and operation of machines to ensure accuracy of output. Monitor the production process and check output to spot any defects. Maintain and clean machines and work areas. Assist with maintenance and repair, as needed. Follow all legal and company health and safety guidelines. Working Conditions Work in a cab of excavator/front end loader outside. May be required to work extended hours and/or extra shifts, as needed. Standard work shift hours and days off are subject to change. Qualifications This is a safety-sensitive position, and therefore, you will be pre-employment drug tested for all drugs, including marijuana. Failure to pass the pre-employment drug test will result in any offer(s) being rescinded and make you ineligible for hire. Previous experience in plant operations or other related fields, preferred. Understanding of, and ability to, troubleshoot issues relating to conveyors, elevators, augers, motors, and gear boxes, preferred. Familiarity with plant tools and equipment. Ability to handle physical workload. Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds, unassisted. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills. Strong teamwork and communication skills. Ability to speak, read, and write English fluently.
