Solaris Paper, Inc is hiring entry level Machine Operators for our Moreno Valley, CA location.
Schedule:

DEPARTMENT
This position is to ensure that production procedures are carried on smoothly to maximize efficiency. The operators function is to set up, maintain and operate machinery.
JOB PURPOSE
This position reports to the Line Tech and receives direct direction from the Machine Operator 4 and indirect work direction from the Team Leader. The position is responsible for the safe operation of the asset equipment and process.
KEY ROLES KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
(3 - 8 AREAS)
  • Perform operator maintenance reliability tasks to support operation team objectives.
  • Responsible for on-shift quality checks/Correct material pre order information
  • Identify and correct issues with equipment and process operation
  • Perform grade change activities and line clearance
  • Report sub-standard issues to the Machine Leader
  • Ensure correct materials are being used
  • Responsible for keeping machine and surrounding area clean at all times
  • Comply with plant safety and attendance policies
  • Other duties as assigned
KEY WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
Internal
  • Reports to Machine Lead; performance reviews conducted by Team Leader. External
  • Work closely with Maintenance, Quality & Material Handlers
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education and Experience Background:
  • High School Diploma / equivalent
  • Demonstrate proficiency in reading / writing English.
  • Basic computer skills
Skills and Knowledge:
  • Technical experience with machine operation in a manufacturing environment.
  • Tissue paper experience a plus Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to operate and understand principles of machinery
WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Must be flexible and responsive to the needs of the department/ business.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Must be able to work 12 hour shifts and rotations.
  • Must be able to sit, bend, stand and walk during scheduled shift.
  • Must have basic maintenance/ electrical abilities
Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
