Job Description

Machine Technician - 2nd Shift Enfield, CT | $21-$24/hr DOE + $1/hr Shift Differential Monday-Thursday, 11:30 AM-10:00 PM 10-hour shifts with 3-day weekends Friday overtime available Position Summary Seeking a mechanically inclined Machine Technician to set up, adjust, troubleshoot, and maintain automated mailing, inserting, sorting, and packaging equipment. This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who enjoys working with tools and troubleshooting mechanical equipment. Responsibilities Set up and adjust automated machinery for various job specifications. Use hand tools to adjust machine components, inserts, sensors, and scanners. Enter job specifications through computer-based controls. Replace basic components including belts, rollers, and chains. Perform light cleaning and preventative maintenance. Troubleshoot basic mechanical issues. Work with machine safety sensors, guards, and automatic shutoffs. Maintain equipment and help keep production running efficiently. Qualifications 1-2+ years of mechanical, maintenance, repair, or machine setup experience preferred. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Comfortable using hand tools and computers. Experience with belts, chains, rollers, or similar equipment. Automotive, mechanical, printing, copier repair, or packaging equipment experience is a plus. Technical school graduates encouraged to apply. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow setup instructions.
