Job Description

CNC Gear Machinist responsible for setting up and operating gear-cutting equipment, inspecting finished components, maintaining machinery, and supporting operator training. Job Requirements CNC machining experience required. Ability to read and interpret shop orders. Ability to read and interpret blueprints. Experience setting up and operating CNC machinery. Experience operating manual machining equipment. Experience using gauges and precision measuring tools. Knowledge of dimensional inspection requirements. Ability to perform routine machine maintenance. Ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues. Preferred Skills Experience with CNC gear-cutting machines. Experience with manual gear-cutting equipment. Experience with gear manufacturing processes. Experience training new hires or machine operators. Job Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC gear-cutting machines. Set up and operate manual gear-cutting equipment. Read and follow shop orders, blueprints, and manufacturing specifications. Measure machined components using gauges and precision inspection tools. Verify finished parts meet dimensional and quality requirements. Make machine adjustments as required to maintain specifications. Perform routine equipment maintenance. Troubleshoot basic machine and equipment issues. Support training of new hires and machine operators.
