This role is responsible for producing coatings batches according to formulas and quality standards. The Batch Maker/Lead Mixer handles combining batching, mixing, color matching, and production execution raw materials, mixing processes, color matching, and ensuring consistency across all product lines.

Key Responsibilities include:

Measure, weigh, and prepare raw materials including resins, solvents, pigments, and additives. Mix batches according to established formulas and production instructions. Perform color matching and adjustments to meet product specifications. Monitor viscosity, flow, and other rheological characteristics during production. Maintain accurate batch records, logs, and material usage documentation. Operate mixers, pumps, scales, filling machines, labeling systems and other production equipment. Conduct QC checks including viscosity testing, color evaluation, gloss assessment, and batch consistency. Document QC results and communication with Owner and/or Operations Manager. Assist with filling, labeling, and packaging as needed. Maintain cleanliness and organization of mixing and production areas. Follow all safety protocols and proper chemical handling procedures. Follow all safety protocols, including proper handling of chemicals and PPE usage.
