Job Description

SUMMARY Select film, foil, and paper load to winding machine, insert tabs, and prepare capacitance stack before sending to next work station.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Verify raw material you will be working with according to work order. Inspect film, foil, and paper for cuts, tears, or holes. Load film, foil, and paper onto winding machine arbors. Wind film, foil, and paper onto mandrel, stopping and inserting tabs at specified points. Send wound capacitors to next work bench (stacking/pre-assembly). Responsible for Quality Control. No damaged product is sent to next work station. Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs). Complete daily production logs. Communicate with operators from other shifts. Clean and maintain work area. Turn off and lock out equipment when not in use. Other duties as assigned.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist mechanics, machinists, and engineer in repair work Provide on-the-job training to new employees
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent. The ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing. Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers. Ability to lift up to 30 pounds required.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Working conditions are consistent with that of a manufacturing environment: loud, high-heat, and fast-paced. Work involves frequent lifting of materials and product up to 30 pounds and strict adherence to PPE protocols. Equipment operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to: eye safety glasses and steel toe shoes; loose fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted. Hair that touches the shoulders must be pinned up so as not to touch the shoulder.
