Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Production Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating machinery, assembling components, and ensuring the smooth flow of production processes within a dynamic manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical aptitude, familiarity with factory operations, and a commitment to safety standards. Responsibilities Operate manufacturing equipment and machinery safely and efficiently, adhering to all safety protocols and standard operating procedures. Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments to assemble, modify, or repair components according to technical drawings and specifications. Interpret production documents such as work orders, process instructions, and technical drawings to ensure accurate assembly and manufacturing. Conduct quality checks using measuring instruments to verify dimensions and compliance with specifications. Manage manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and material movement to support continuous production flow. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, ensuring compliance with safety standards in the manufacturing facility. Assist in process improvement initiatives by identifying inefficiencies and suggesting enhancements aligned with lean manufacturing principles. Support team members on the assembly line by managing tasks efficiently and maintaining productivity levels. Follow safety standards rigorously, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to safety protocols. Skills Proven experience operating forklifts within a factory or manufacturing setting. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and assembly instructions. Proficiency in using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges. Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, and mechanical assembly techniques. Familiarity with manufacturing management systems and production documentation interpretation. Knowledge of safety standards in production environments and commitment to maintaining a safe workplace. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while managing manual handling tasks effectively. Experience working on assembly lines or in factory environments with a focus on process efficiency. Understanding of lean manufacturing principles aimed at reducing waste and optimizing workflow. Ability to adapt quickly to new processes and contribute positively to continuous improvement efforts. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration within diverse teams. This position is essential for ensuring that our manufacturing operations run smoothly, safely, and efficiently. Pay:
$17.00 - $20.00 per hour
