JOB SUMMARY
: Blend dry raw materials following specific formulas and quantities to make assorted product mixtures and flavorings using electrically powered blending machines. Use stand-up and sit-down industrial forklifts and material handling equipment to move bulk containers of product.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Load, unload, weigh, issue and return to stock materials or containers and record information on forms. Operate powered fork trucks or pallet jacks equipped with elevating platform or trailer hitch to move product and materials. Operate hoist system and bulk sugar weigh scale. Follow checklist procedures to inspect power equipment prior to each shift for problems. Report problems to Supervisor. Be trained and certified for safe and efficient use of powered equipment used for material handling. Select and blend proper ingredients following specific formulas, quantities, and times to make assorted product mixtures using powered blending equipment. Read labels and store material in proper locations. Regular attendance on the job, reliability and dependability are required. Sense of ordinary care to prevent material losses or damages to product. Adhere to safety rules and regulations, good housekeeping, and sanitation.
OTHER DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain equipment and immediate work area in neat and orderly manner. Takes samples of product for quality control checks. Dump garbage into dumpster Perform other duties and special projects. Travel required up to 10% between buildings
WORKING CONDITIONS
Work in normal manufacturing environment. Potential exposure to equipment movement hazards and dangerous chemicals/solvents Proper personal protective equipment required. Electrical shock. Obstacles, steps, dirt, dust. Significant work pace/pressure.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations including simple addition, subtraction, multiplication, division. Ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions, write identifying information, record information on forms. Ability to carry out written, verbal or diagrammatic instructions. Ability to operate forklift and other powered equipment for material handling. Must be reliable and have good attendance. Ability to perform heavy physical work, exerting up to 100 lbs. of force occasionally, up to 50 lbs. constantly, performing such activities as climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pulling, pushing, feeling, lifting, and grasping. Good mechanical aptitude for operating special purpose production machinery.

Must be able to speak English and write English and effectively communicate with fellow employees, supervisors, and Quality Control.
