Quilting Machine Operator - 2nd Shift

Job Description

We're Growing QProducts and Services, part of the Lanco Group of Companies, is growing and adding a 2nd Shift! We're looking for Quilting Machine Operators to join our team. 2nd
Shift:
3:00 PM - 11:30 PM Position Summary The Quilting Machine Operator operates quilting and cutting equipment to produce quality products according to job specifications. Reviews production requirements, prepares materials, sets up and adjusts equipment, enters job dimensions, reads blueprints, and performs quality checks throughout production. Handles materials and troubleshoots routine machine issues to keep production running efficiently and accurately.
Essential Duties:
Review daily workflow, production spreadsheets, and required materials Issue material yardage to the appropriate job through Epicor MES Set up and operate quilting/cutting equipment according to job dimensions Install and replace needles, loopers, and cutting blades Program length dimensions using sensor adjustments and the computer interface Read and interpret AutoCAD drawings or blueprints to confirm required job dimensions Perform quality inspections throughout production Hand-load and unload cut material from the conveyor Troubleshoot thread breaks and stitch line skips Adjust material alignment and sensors and replace needles as needed
What You Bring:
High School Diploma or GED 1-3 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment Attention to
Detail:
Ensures accuracy in production and inspections; identifies potential defects or malfunctions before they become issues
Blueprint Reading:
Competent in reading and interpreting blueprints
Basic Math:
Basic math knowledge, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of fractions Must be able to speak, read, and write in English Physical and Environmental Elements This is a production classification and employees work indoors and outdoors (in all seasons) with exposure to noise, chemicals, heavy equipment and machinery. Accurate hand/eye coordination is required. Finger dexterity is required, as well as hand strength, with the ability to grasp, lift, push and pull. Work involves considerable climbing, twisting, bending, squatting and kneeling for long periods of time. May lift parts weighing up to 30 pounds and pull approximately 20 lbs. Need to have the ability to ascend and descend a ladder and/or scaffolding.
