Summary We are seeking a skilled Laser Operators AND Press (Brake) Operators to join our team at Davenport Manufacturing Group. In this role, you will be responsible for operating laser cutting machines to produce high-quality metal components. Your expertise will contribute significantly to our mission of delivering exceptional products and services. Hours 4-10-hour days Monday

Shift:

6 AM

• 4:30

PM Laser Cutting Operator:

• Operate laser-cutting machine with precision to fabricate metal components to specifications.
• Remove laser cut parts from sheets to prepare for the next manufacturing operation.
• Timely and accurate system management to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate production.
• Perform routine maintenance on laser equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Utilize measuring instruments to verify the accuracy of finished products.
• Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and improve efficiency.
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.

Press Brake Operator:

• Setting up and operating press brake machines: Adjusting machine settings for specific jobs, changing tools, and performing test runs to ensure accuracy.
• Reading blueprints and plans: Interpreting detailed instructions and technical drawings to determine job requirements and the correct fabrication process.
• Quality control: Checking the accuracy of bends and measurements, ensuring that finished pieces strictly conform to specifications, and adjusting as necessary.

• Maintenance:

  Performing routine checks and maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance and prevent malfunctions.
• Safety management: Adhering to strict safety standards to avoid accidents, including wearing protective gear and ensuring all safety measures are in place during machine operation. Requirements Proven experience as a Machine Operator (Brake Press or Laser Cutting) or in a similar role within metal fabrication.
• Strong blueprint reading skills and familiarity with technical drawings.
• Experience with CNC machinery is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of precision measuring instruments and quality control standards.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
