Hi-Tech Job Summary:
Work within the assembly areas, electro mechanical assembles, part marking, etc.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Ø Retrieves and studies assembly instructions, detailed blue prints and parts lists. Ø Working knowledge in the implementation of the company's QMS. Working to procedures, flow charts, work instructions and commitment to continuous improvement. Ø Prepares parts prior to assembly Ø Assembles components by using air tools, hand wrenches, pneumatic tools, etc. Ø Resolves assembly problems. Ø Must be able to distinguish different types of materials. Ø Have experience in blue print reading and use of machine shop measuring equipment. Ø Ensure process problems are identified and corrected. Ø Performs basic maintenance on Lasers and accessories. Ø Reports to supervisor when scheduled maintenance should be performed. Ø Must be proficient in decimals and fractions. Ø To uphold the Quality Management System of Policies and Procedures of Algonquin/Hi-Tech and work towards corporate goals Ø Ensure production cycles/efficiencies are met or exceeded Ø Ensure the company's QMS abides to customer, internal, ISO 9001, regulatory/legal requirements Ø Abide by the OSHA regulations and standards. Ø To follow inspection guidelines per
ASQ/ANSI Z1.4 AQL 2.5 C
=0. Any found rejection requires 100% inspection of the entire lot. Unless otherwise specified.
Training Requirements:
Must be able to assemble and test complex components using detailed instructions to customers specifications. Have experience in blue print reading and use of machine shop hand measuring tools.
Related Experience and Education:
Minimum of one year related job experience.
Other Preferred Qualifications/Skills:
Ø Excellent communication skills (written and oral), exceptional math and organizational skills. Ø Ensure all components meet specifications using appropriate tools for verification Ø Possess strong communication and interpersonal skill with attention to detail Ø Good work ethic and flexibility to work any shift a must Ø Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and meet deadline Ø Strong analytical background including manufacturing principles.
