Methuen, MA 01844 (On-site)

Schedule:

Monday-Friday | 40 hours/week 3rd shift 10:30pm-6:30am $25-$30/HR Job Summary Masis Staffing is seeking a Machine Operator to set up, operate, and troubleshoot finishing equipment (folder-gluer and related machinery) used to convert printed sheets into finished cartons/packaging. You'll be responsible for efficient production, quality checks, and minimizing downtime while following all safety and housekeeping standards. What You'll Do Set up and run finishing equipment to meet safety, quality, and production targets Review production schedules to sequence work efficiently Read and follow job tickets/work orders (board type, glue pattern, scoring, folding, packing, labeling, etc.) Perform make-ready/setups including: Adjusting feeder, pre-fold, folding, and delivery sections Setting glue systems and verifying glue pattern/adhesion Adjusting belt speeds, guides, backstops, and compression sections Troubleshoot issues such as jams, misfeeds, glue problems, and mechanical defects; escalate to maintenance as needed Complete production documentation (start/stop times, output, waste, downtime, quality checks) Perform basic preventive maintenance and keep equipment/area clean and organized Provide day-to-day direction to gluing/finishing crew members during the shift (as assigned) Report injuries, hazards, spills, or equipment issues promptly What We're Looking For Experience operating and setting up production machinery (finishing/packaging equipment strongly preferred) Ability to read job tickets/specs and follow detailed instructions Mechanical aptitude and strong troubleshooting skills Quality-focused mindset and attention to detail Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Basic computer/data entry skills for production reporting Work Environment / Physical Requirements (add if you want this included) Standing/walking for extended periods, lifting, repetitive motions, and working around moving machinery (PPE required) Equal Opportunity Employer Masis Staffing Solutions is an Equal Opportunity Employer and committed to a workplace free of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation.
