We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Embroidery Machine Operator & Heat Press Technician to join our production team. This position is responsible for producing high-quality embroidered and heat-pressed apparel and merchandise while meeting production deadlines and maintaining consistent quality standards. The ideal candidate is organized, comfortable working with production equipment, and able to manage multiple orders in a fast-paced environment. Previous embroidery or heat-press experience is preferred, but training may be available for the right candidate. Primary Responsibilities Set up and operate commercial embroidery machines. Load embroidery designs and select the correct thread colors. Hoop garments and position designs accurately. Monitor machines during production and correct thread breaks, tension problems, and other minor issues. Trim excess thread and backing from finished garments. Operate heat presses for DTF transfers, vinyl, patches, and other applications. Set the appropriate time, temperature, and pressure for each material. Position transfers accurately and ensure proper adhesion. Read and follow work orders, production notes, and design-placement instructions. Inspect garments and finished products for alignment, color, spelling, application, and overall quality. Count and organize items before and after production. Keep orders separated, labeled, and prepared for the next stage of production. Perform routine equipment cleaning and basic maintenance. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Report damaged garments, equipment problems, and order discrepancies promptly. Assist with packaging, inventory, and other production duties as needed. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous embroidery, heat-press, screen-printing, or apparel-production experience is a plus. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Basic computer skills and willingness to learn production software. Good time-management and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Dependable attendance and ability to meet production deadlines. Willingness to learn new equipment, materials, and production methods. Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods. Ability to perform repetitive hand and arm movements. Ability to bend, reach, and move around the production area. Ability to lift and carry boxes or supplies weighing up to 40 pounds. Ability to work safely around hot surfaces and moving machinery.
