Job Description

About the Position We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Warper & Creeler Operator to join our textile manufacturing team. This position is responsible for preparing yarn packages, operating and monitoring warping equipment, and producing warp beams that meet production and quality specifications. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, safety-conscious, comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, and takes pride in producing consistent, high-quality work. Previous textile experience is required. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate warping equipment according to production specifications, style requirements, and established procedures. Load and arrange yarn packages on the creel according to the correct creel layout, yarn count, color, and production pattern. Thread yarn through guides, tension devices, combs, and other warping components as required. Tie yarn ends using a weaver's knot or other approved joining method. Monitor yarn flow, tension, alignment, and machine operation throughout the production run. Identify and correct broken ends, threading errors, tension problems, and other production issues. Assist with creel changes, beam changes, start-ups, and doffing activities. Inspect yarn and finished warp beams for defects, contamination, uneven tension, or other quality concerns. Verify production specifications and make appropriate machine adjustments when necessary. Accurately record production information, beam information, downtime, and quality issues as required. Communicate production or quality problems promptly to the supervisor or appropriate team member. Maintain warping equipment and the surrounding work area in a clean, orderly condition. Perform routine cleaning and basic operator-level equipment care. Follow all company safety policies, procedures, PPE requirements, and housekeeping standards. Work cooperatively with creelers, warpers, supervisors, maintenance, quality, and other production personnel. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Qualifications Previous experience in textile manufacturing, warping, weaving, knitting, or yarn processing is preferred. Previous machine operation or manufacturing experience is a plus. Ability to read and follow production instructions, yarn specifications, and work procedures. Basic math, reading, and writing skills. Good attention to detail and ability to recognize yarn or production defects. Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn textile machinery. Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a team. Ability to troubleshoot basic operating problems and communicate issues clearly. Experience tying a weaver's knot is preferred; training may be provided. Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic are essential. Physical Requirements This is a hands-on manufacturing position. The employee must be able to: Stand and walk for extended periods during the work shift. Frequently bend, stoop, reach, stretch, and use hands for repetitive tasks. Reach above shoulder level when handling yarn packages or working with creel equipment. Lift and move yarn packages and other materials as required by the position. Safely climb steps or ladders when required. Work around operating textile machinery, yarn, and typical manufacturing noise. Wear required personal protective equipment Safety and quality are critical parts of this position. The Warper & Creeler Operator is expected to follow all established safety procedures, use required PPE, maintain good housekeeping, report unsafe conditions, and produce yarn and warp beams that meet company quality standards.
