Monday-Friday | 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM About the Role We are seeking an experienced Laser Operator to join our growing manufacturing team on 2nd shift. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC laser cutting equipment while ensuring quality, efficiency, and safety standards are met. Key Responsibilities Set up, program, and operate CNC laser cutting machines for production runs. Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders. Inspect finished parts using measuring tools to ensure quality and accuracy. Troubleshoot machine, material, and production issues to minimize downtime. Perform routine preventative maintenance and coordinate repairs as needed. Select and handle materials according to production requirements. Maintain inventory traceability and proper material identification. Support and train less experienced operators on equipment operation and safety procedures. Continuously identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and workflow. Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area. Qualifications Required Previous CNC laser operation experience. Experience with CNC programming and/or sheet metal fabrication. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Experience using measuring equipment and quality inspection tools. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Ability to read, write, and follow work instructions. Preferred Experience in a manufacturing or metal fabrication environment. Leadership or mentoring experience supporting junior operators. Education High School Diploma or GED required. The role requires standing for most of the shift, lifting up to 50 pounds safely, and working in a fast-paced production environment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Binghamton, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $27.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
