PM Job Overview:

We are seeking skilled and dependable Machine Shop Operators to support production at a growing manufacturing facility in Highland, NY. This role involves operating saws and other shop equipment, working with metal components, and ensuring accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced environment. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with consistent full-time hours and long-term potential.

Machine Shop Operator Responsibilities:

Operate saws, drill presses, tapping tools, and other machine shop equipment Read and follow blueprints, schematics, and job specifications Measure materials using precision tools to ensure accuracy Pick, stage, and prepare materials for production Complete inventory transactions using ERP systems or scanners Maintain accurate labeling and organization of materials Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work area

Qualifications & Experience:

2+ years of experience in a machine shop or manufacturing setting preferred Experience with metal fabrication and use of power tools Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings Familiarity with ERP systems or RF scanners is a plus Strong attention to detail and ability to meet production goals High school diploma or equivalent required

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift Frequent lifting up to 50 lbs , occasional lifts up to 75 lbs Comfortable using step stools or ladders as needed Why Join This Opportunity?
